Instagram Highlight: SUNY Purchase Fashion

Kayla Uzoma Dike '25 (Studio Production) started the SUNY Purchase Fashion Instagram account soon after arriving at Purchase in the fall of 2021, inspired by the fashion sense so different than high school in Jamaica, Queens.

Dike serves as an RA, President of SOCA (Students of Caribbean Ancestry), and a CREAR Futuros Mentor, a peer-mentor based initiative designed to improve student success at Purchase.

“Straight out of quarantine people were really using their creative mind to dress and I really loved that, and it’s part of what I love most about Purchase. The ability to be freakish and strange and out of the ordinary! I love featuring outfits that I’ve never worn and may not be my style but perfectly show who that person is!”
